The first Elite agency opens in Paris.
1977
Opening of the New York agency. Three years later, Elite becomes New York’s leading model agency.
1979
Elite creates the concept of the “Supermodel”

1983
Elite launches the Elite Model Look contest, the world’s largest model competition.
1986
With more than 20 agencies throughout the world, Elite doubles its sales in the space of 5 years.

1998
Elite Licensing Company is established to develop a distribution strategy for products bearing the Elite brand name
The New Millenium
2003
Elite opens up new horizons and enters the Asian market. To mark the occasion it organizes the Elite Model Look World Final in Singapore. The subsequent 2004 and 2005 World Finals are held in Shanghai.

2006
The Group is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, thereby increasing its international profile.
2008
After Marrakech in 2006 and Prague in 2007, in 2008 the EML 25th World Final returns to China (Sanya), with 80 contestants from 70 countries.

2011
In February, Elite World shareholders elect a new Board of Directors. The new board election follows the acquisition of a controlling stake in Elite World by Pacific Global Management. PGM is a global talent management company active in the music and events business. It has strong digital marketing expertise and a substantial presence in Asia through Gold Typhoon one of the biggest record labels and artist management companies in Greater China.
In December, Elite extends its global footprint and establishes a direct presence in China with the opening of Elite China in Shanghai.
